About the Anastatia brand
THE ANASTATIA was created as a tribute to a Family-Friend/Elder who was passionate about family, community and her sorority, the ALPHA KAPPA ALPHA Sorority, Inc. The late Anastatia Phillips Benton was a lady of distinction and faithfully wore the colors Pink and Green daily. I was inspired by Aunt Annie’s passion, and designed a one-of-a-kind, Classic sandal to celebrate this International group of “Ladies of Distinction”. Inspired by Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority’s traditional Pink/Green, this Exclusive Shoe-Line was designed by The ROBERT BLOUNT Collection as a launching pad with huge marketing value. THE ANASTATIA is the seed for many designs to come. THE ANASTATIA will be the iconic Hippie footwear for AKA’s at every Historically Black College and University, and alumni members Globally. An idea and design created by The Robert Blount Collection
The inspiration for whimsical paintings of his first collection, COLOREDinCOLOR, come from his travels and sitting countless hours listening to his elders tell old family stories and tales of African American life and accomplishments. The Robert Blount Collection will entertain the mind, body and soul; and, the vivid recollections will educate and amaze generations to come. Robert served as an Art instructor for 2 years in East Baltimore, and Art from The ROBERT BLOUNT Collection is currently on exhibit at the Baltimore City Police Department Headquarters in downtown Baltimore, Maryland. He is excited about his luxury shoe collection and promoting The ROBERT BLOUNT Collection via this unique platform.
