2022 holds great surprises for the fashion sector and it is important not to miss any of these appointments. It is essential to know the trends of the year and to know the news presented by the most famous brands, not to mention the ideas we can take to create something of our own, unique and inimitable. After almost two years of digital events and fashion shows, we are back on the catwalk, fashion looks to the future and a large number of unmissable events are on the calendar. In Milan, the show is back in attendance with the presentation of the Men's Fashion Week to be held from 14 to 18 January 2022, with the debut of six new brands and Ermenegildo Zegna opening its doors.

This, after Covid-19, wants to be a point to restart, after a period severely hit by the pandemic that has had a significant impact on the fashion sector. This edition of the fashion week sees the confirmation of the partnership between the National Chamber of Italian Fashion and the Milan Fashion Film Festival. The eighth edition of the Festival aims to create a system and enhance the exposure of Made in Italy abroad, in a contemporary, digital and avant-garde international context.

FENDACE, the shoe that closed the fashion week!


Fendace actually closed what was called the reboot edition. Out of more than 200 appointments on the calendar, more than half were present virtually, exploring its maximum potential. An example of this is Moncler that with its MondoGenius has combined physical and digital by connecting the brand's community. It was a successful edition and it was also seen by the number of attendees as the return of international buyers and journalists - with the exception of the Asians, the crowd in front of the fashion shows, the traffic haywire, the crowded streets. After all, the numbers reward the efforts, and tell of a sector in which in the first half of 2021 the turnover is increasingly growing, a result that is anything but obvious. In the first five months of the year, the export data were very positive with an overall growth of 27.6%. Marking the start of the second half of the show, the Medusa panels embedded in the foliage walls of the fashion space rotate to reveal the double F logo designed by Karl Lagerfeld for Fendi. The show concluded with supermodel Naomi Campbell walking down the runway.
