About the Equris brand
Equris Clothing is a streetwear brand that is designed to express the culture that I grew up around but through the lens of God's love. A lot of urban brands perpetuate things that make the hood the hood. From violence and hate to drugs and doing anything including sacrificing morals for dollars. The Equris A-1 in the Candyshop colorway is meant to be a head turner! They are bold, they are bright they stand out. They have a retro styling and vivacous color combination. Combine that with the fact that these are a super limited release and these kicks stands out to the the trendy eclectic fashion guru and the classic sneakerhead. As my first shoe I wanted to do something special, I didn't want this to be something the masses could get...these are just those who are fashion forward enough to make trends not follow them ...for the trail blazers. I am a Husband, a Father, an artist, a producer, a designer, a poet, most significantly a forgiven son of God. I was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri. Raised by my father with 3 of my 6 siblings in a place that has been dubbed Killer City because of homicide rates. It was easy for dreams to be snuffed out at a young age, especially if you are from the area I grew up in. I learned early that you can chose to be a product of your environment or cast your environment into a product of you and you, when you come from does nit dictate where you can go. Seeing my dad go to work as hard as he did to provide for us instilled a work ethic in me and the relationship I developed with Christ through life experiences instilled a will and belief in me that with Prayer and Hustle nothing would be impossible. No matter where you come from it is the hustle that will make the dream the reality. Thays the motto, the creed, the principle that I abide by.
