The style is an Alaskan inspiration as the designer's state flag is navy blue and gold. The power within these two colors together speaks volumes. The two colors stuck with me. Navy grew on me and became my favorite color. The designer has always worn high tops and that's why he chose the shoe that he made and best represents the style of the American way from before his generation and up to the present day. From poetry to shoes everything expresses his creative nature and the brand of Artiz Lee. This was all inspired by her grandfather Robert Pillow Jr who was a classy actor and always dressed the part. He has always loved high tops, that's why he chose this particular shoe to start the brand.
About the man behind the brand: Robert Pillow Iv
Robert Pillow Iv was born in Alaska and moved to Virginia in high school. Both of his parents were military, so be thankful and earning stuff has always been in his genes. However, separating from the rest was implanted by his mother and father. He is now 29 and has two sisters and a daughter who mean a lot to him. He has always had a love for shoes since elementary school. Every new shoe had to have it or play basketball in it (especially Jordan's). Once he was able to open his horizon and see the value of each brand and style, he was genuinely intrigued. He also writes poetry and had his first book published at 19. Artiz Lee is his poetry name and the creative self of him. The artistic side of him comes out, who has decided to call Artiz Lee "artist with z and middle name".
