ANAM STUDIOS by Louise Buckley concentrates on bringing unique, gender-neutral, comfortable street-style footwear to the masses. "Anam" is the Irish word for “Soul” which every ANAM STUDIOS piece has: a lot of Soul. ANAM STUDIOS footwear uses colors and patterns clash that bring out the urban attitude and personality. It is essential to the designer Louise Buckley that the brand helps fixing worldwide problematic topics and it is not part of it, which is why ANAM STUDIOS only uses top quality cruelty-free and vegan materials. The designer wanted to bring the bright natural colours to an urban street shoe with great pattern clashes, as an expression of the exciting unpredictable world we live in. The colours green, white and orange pay homage to her beautiful homeland: Ireland.
An idea and design by Louise Buckley
The designer’s name is Louise Buckley and she is a BA HONS Degree graduate of Fashion Textiles and Design. She started the company ANAM STUDIOS because of her own struggles in getting shoes that could easily fit her needs and dreams. As a 5ft 10 height woman with a US size 9, she always found it very hard to get stylish shoes that would last and fit her size. After she started working in retail, Louise realized she was not the only one dealing with the same uncomfortable issue and that's when she decided to do something about it. ANAM STUDIOS is born from the true Louise’s need of feeling herself in her own shoes.
