With 1 Off Designs, the designer wanted to put out there shoes that are made for comfort, yet eye catching, made with the best materials, to give a textural experience, for a more intimate experience while wearing the shoes. His shoes are designed to be unique, but have something for everyone. He doesn't like to be limited in life and design. He therefore he creates a verity of different styles of shoes. All unique, all 1OffDesigns.
About Demetri Barnes
It all started in elementary school. Shoes were for Demetri Barnes, a matter of expression, of style and the right shoes made you popular among your peers. Her cousins always wore new shoes, did he? Not so much. Meanwhile her cousin was in Nike, Adidas and Fila. Her mother got to a point where she would buy them a size or two bigger so they would last longer, then she would have to pad the top of the shoe to make them fit. Often his mom gave him a pair of goodwill play shoes normally without laces. One day he wanted to join the basketball club, but he couldn't because I didn't have a proper pair of shoes. The only way I'd get my hands on an actual pair of name-brand shoes is when/if her cousins like a pair or are uncomfortable with them, and they'll give them to her. That's what set him on the path I'm on today.
