Darryl ”Ankhenaton” Beecham was born in the U.S. in the late sixties in one of the five Boroughs of New York City called Brownsville Brooklyn. if He were poor, he did not know it. He says his family never needed anything but wanted it. He was Raised in a single parent household when incredibly young by his mother so he would say it was his mother who got him into fashion, she was a two-color matcher, and he sees now why he is into only two colors when he dresses. NYC always had its own Swag when it came to fashion and his mother would try her best to keep him in the loop with the newest styles and fashions to keep him off the streets and out of trouble so she would try her best to keep him dressed like the older guys he admired. He remembers when adidas, puma, Nike, Clark Wallabies, Playboys, British Walkers and Bally’s sneakers and shoes became a big thing in his neighborhood which he wore but the people he associated himself with was a little more stylish where as we got into other brands at an early age in the early 80’s like Fila, Polo, Ellesse, Timberland, Woolrich, Ocean pacific, Guess, Claiborne, Sergio Tacchini sporting and camping clothes, shoes, boots and sneakers but they got into even more lavish worldwide luxury brands like Louis Vuitton, Dior, Givenchy, Oscar de Laurent and Gucci one of his favorites was Gucci 84 tennis sneakers. As he got older he would put outfits together of different designers that people in the neighborhood never heard of because fashion became a lifestyle to him so he was labeled as a trendsetter and in 1999 We incorporated Stay Enterprises Corp. STAY Enterprise's history is one of continual support and proven positive outcomes through outreach for the youth and underemployed. Our free Carpentry classes, street events and basketball tournaments encourage teamwork, creativity, and the possibility of a better future for our participants. As a Retired Competent Union carpenter, Hip Hop Music Label VP, Documentarian Director/Producer/Editor, and footwear designer Akhenaton’s self-titled first-edition streetwear reflect his mindset.
